WHATS THE GO WITH BOOSTERS??
Those 'plug-in' boosters are rubbish! For digital you need a proper 'masthead amplifier'. These boosters come in two parts. The 'amplifier' which goes up on the antenna pole. And the 'power pack' which plugs into your tv point - sending 12volts up the outside of the cable to power the amplifier. The amplifier is close to the antenna for the purpose of amplifying digital quality BEFORE IT IS LOST!. The amps are water-proofed and designed to sit on the antenna pole in the elements.
Masthead amplifiers give you more channel power (signal strength) and can 'boost' signal quality on digital as well (BER - Bit error rate = prevent pixelation!). They are paticularly needed if you have a very high mast / antenna pole (bad area) or you have a number of tv points. (More signal needed to power 12 points for example!)
