how do i change my foxtel channel from another room?
If you have foxtel in another room, you are probably sick of walking out to your Foxtel box to change the channel and then hopping back into bed to watch your program. Simply set up an IR transmitter and Receiver (takes 30secs) and you will be able to control that Foxtel Box from your remote location. The transmitter only needs plugging into 240 and can sit anywhere you want it to. The Receiver does the same but has an additional 'eye' with a sticky pad that you stick on the front of your Foxtel box acting like a 'up-close remote control'. Take your foxtel remote into your remote location and click away at the transmitter. The transmitter will 'talk' with the receiver changing the channel for you! Our Ir extenders are also close to flawless! No interference from cordless telephones, wireless internet or any other wireless devices. They have a 99% hit rate and are nearly 6 times less expensive as a wired ir extender.
I want to hide my dvd player, equipment in the cupboard/cabinet but the remote control won't work, what should I do?
An Ir extender will talk to your hidden equipment so it can remain out of sight, neat-and-tidy and still completely functional without needing to open cabinet doors or reach around corners etc. They are much less expensive than wired models and also easier to setup and configure. Rather than using the sticky pad to stick the IR extender's 'eye' to the front of your equipment try to set up the eyes of the IR Extender's Receiver to 'spray' all your equipment sitting on top of each other. If your equipment is not set up like this you can buy up to 3 or 4 Ir extenders utilising 1x transmitter and 3x receivers (the transmitter can 'talk' to all 3x receivers). Each receiver comes with an eye so you will have 3 eyes to stick on all your equipment! This method also will come out cheaper than buying a wired ir extender which usually comes out at about the three hundred dollar mark. Besides the transmitter measuring 10cm x 5cm in size which you can sit anywhere where there is a power point anyway.. our wireless ir extenders are far more versatile and better value for money than wired models. I know which I would prefer!
