- 1. IS THERE A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN OUR CABLES AND $200 e.g. “Monster cables” I SEE IN THE MAJOR RETAIL STORES? WILL I GET A 'BETTER PICTURE' WITH A MORE EXPENSIVE CABLE?"
Simple answer: Absolutely not.
Detailed Answer: There is no difference in the quality of image or audio you would attain if you were to plug in one of our cables and then plug in a $200 same style cable. The way a cable works is its ability to carry a set rate of information known as resolution or dots per square inch (dpi). You will see this on any television's specs.(1920 x 1280 etc) It is quite common that a cable being used is believed to be giving a better picture when in fact the customer's television or equipment do not have the same capabilities as the cable and the INCORRECT CABLE is in fact being used! If in doubt, call or email us with your model #'s so we can give you a list of the correct cables you should be using to attain the best picture and audio for your equipment! Back to how cables work; a faulty cable will actually fail to send any signal at all(damaged or fractured contact). It is impossible for $200 copper to outperform $2 copper! Copper is copper! Are you buying gold plated or is it copper?? We do have a selection of premium style cables in all our cable products for the eye candy if that is what you're looking for. Premium Cables are recommended by some manufacturers for long runs (over 5m). As professional home theatre installers for www.tvmagic.com.au we use all the budget style cables. The premium cables do they provide a little extra durability however I have not seen once our $30 cables e.g be out-performed by an expensive cable. Take it back and put the money to better use! - 2. MY CABLE IS NOT WORKING, I GET A BLACK AND WHITE PICTURE, THE PICTURE ISN'T THAT CLEAR, I AM HAVING TROUBLE SETTING UP MY HOME THEATRE, XBOX, TV, SURROUND SOUND, CAN YOU HELP ME!!??

- 3. HOW SOON WILL MY ORDER ARRIVE?
If you are with in Australia Post, Express Posts area codes your order will arrive THE VERY NEXT BUSINESS DAY (MON TO FRI) for any order received before 4pm. All other products that cannot be express posted will arrive within 3-5 business days.

- 6. Can we supply products/items not listed on our website?
ABSOLUTELY! We have great relationships with a whole range of manufacturers/importers of digital antennas, hdmi cables, speaker cable, usb cables, electronics & thousands of products that may or may not be listed on our site. (Check that we do not have the product you are looking for by using our search feature in the top left hand corner). We are more than happy to source hard to find items or products not listed @ competitive prices - Just email us your requests!
- 7. Do you do Bulk Orders?
Yes. We can also provide further discounted rates for large/bulk orders on SOME products especially digital antennas, hdmi cables, speaker cable, usb adapters etc - Just email us your requests and we will be happy to quote you.
- 8. WHY ARE YOUR HDMI CABLES AND OTHER PRODUCTS SO CHEAP?
Short Answer: 1. We have no large employee base/shop front overheads meaning our business overheads are small and leveragable meaning we can supply at 'wholesale prices' and not 'retail prices'. 2. Cable Magic currently operates from a home-based storage and office meaning we are predominantly an internet based supplier also reducing our overheads to enable us to deliver the most important part of the service - the product! We are all too aware of all other facets such as customer service, telephone support etc but we focus on: Quality of product + price of product = value for money and secondly speed of delivery. 3. Our product packaging. Most of our products are: 'Exactly the same product - without the expensive packaging!' Elaborated Answer: Like many electronics the products are manufactured in China. Australia is said to have one of the strongest relationships with China compared to other nations and this is partially why Australia (number 1) and China (number 2) were least effected countries in the world by the 'Recession'. Products sold @ major retail stores are still wholly or contain components manufactured in China! (Even if the label says made in Japan!). We are for many products the manufacturer ourselves or an importer whom then supply to the major retail stores. So you are saving money by 'cutting out the middle man'!
- 9. CAN YOU PHONE US/MAKE AN ORDER OR PAYMENT OVER THE TELEPHONE?
Yes. Whilst we are predominantly a web-based business to reduce operating costs you are always welcome to phone us - (0438 777 656), to make payment (if you have difficulty checking out), ask us any questions/make requests. We recommend leaving a voice mail message if we do not answer - we guarantee to call you back! (Mon to Fri, 9am-5pm). We do however prefer email contact and this will always be the best way to communicate with Cable Magic.
