I've only got 1 AV input on the back of my television and I want to connect my set top box and my dvd player, do i absolutely need to get a new television?
No! Without plugging and unplugging the av leads every time you change over from your dvd player and set top box get yourself 3x mono to stereo cables also known as Y cables or 1rca to 2rca. Combine the Yellow, Red and White outputs of your DVD player and your set top box with the 3x Y cables. Now all you have to do is make sure that the DVD player is turned off whilst your watching your set top box and turn your set top box off whilst your watching your DVDs! Result: No changing cords over! AND no new television!
