Digital Video Interference (DVI) and HDMI are both all-digital connections for video however HDMI carries both audio as well. The picture quality between the two is the same as the HDMI standard is actually based on DVI. DVI is a connection predominately used by PC's and their monitor but is found on TV's now as well.
