Is it an anaconda? No its one hell of a Component cable!
HOW TO SEND FOXTEL IQ VIA COMPONENT TO TWO MONITORS SIMULTANEOUSLY
What you will need: 1x 10m, 20m or 30m (depending on the distance of the second monitor) Component cable. 1x 'same length' 2rca audio cable (for audio) 1x average length (1.5m) Component cable with matching audio cable for the primary monitor. 2x Bullnose wallplates or (Better - component wallplates - for a nice finish), 2x plaster brackets, 5x 1 rca to 2 rca adapters
Total costing approx. $120 to send awesome flawless HD Resolution foxtel pictures to your primary tv and to a second tv in the house via component cable.
First of plug the 5x 1 rca - 2 rca adapters to the Component Output of your Foxtel box (1 for each - green, blue, red + white & red). These are going to split the outgoing component signal into two directions for you. Connect your shorter component cable + audio cable to the closest TV/Monitor and check that Foxtel is working with sound and picture on the component input of the TV. (If not you may have to go into the Foxtel's system menu & change the video output to: 'Ypbpr' or 'Component Out').
Next plug your longer component cable + 2 rca audio cable that you have run through the wall cavity etc to a secondary tv / monitor in the house to the 1 rca - 2 rca adapters and check that you Foxtel is working with picture & sound on your secondary tv's component input.
That's it! - You have successfully sent free foxtel to two tv's with flawless component signal! Component cables carry resolution 3 times greater than AV (yellow) and 6 x greater than RF! Most people who send foxtel to a secondary tv do so using the 'rf' method or the 'av' method. Component is far superior paticularly if you have foxtel HD or foxtel IQ. So no matter how great the distance is & especially if you have a nice new secondary tv - Component is going to show your foxtel as clear as a bell on the second monitor without fuzz and without interference! All you need now is a Digitech IR Extender so you can change channel without going back to the room where the foxtel box is!
