American Wire Gauge, it's diameter measurement of a cable, the higher the number, the thinner the cable. Very fine wire would be for example 30gauage. Most audio visual cables are AWG 26 or 24. Unless your running cable outdoors you don't really need any thicker. This thicker your cable is, the less flexible and harder wearing it becomes. | ||
