| Will my DVD movies really look better if I upgrade the 'yellow, red and white' to component? | ||
Short answer: yes. Basic explanation: Using AV cables (yellow, red and white) which comes free in the box with any dvd player the only cable delivering the picture is the yellow (the red and white are left and right audio channels). In a component signal you have 3x the bandwidth or 3x the cables delivering the picture. All 3x (green, blue and red) deliver parts of the picture enabling the tv to receive more information and therefore display a higher resolution. Of course you may have realised you still need audio with component so you add a red and white or ideally you upgrade your audio by using a better audio cable such as optical or digital coax where you are using an amplifier. | ||
