Advice given to a customer installing their own Digital Antenna:It is usually not wise to take shortcuts on materials which is the best advice I can give without being in your house in to test the signal you are currently getting from your existing antenna. Were you quoted for both antenna and booster? Either way the quote you would of received is often really 70% labour!(with all the mark up on materials) being a wholesaler and installer myself I know this. So if you do get parts from us not only are you going to get the same quality if not better than the ones the installer was going to use, (paticularly the digital antenna). You're going to save a fortune doing it yourself. As for your question as to whether you can get away with just a booster, thats a sometimes scenario, heres an idea, you could always just get the booster for now! And get the digital antenna later if you needed it (you will pay slightly more postage overall but still would save alot). Here's the best option, can you take photos? And email them? I can see the state and age of the existing antenna that way we can give you a much more accurate decision! Also a photo of your house from the street showing the roof and surroundings etc this will help alot to give you a more accurate decision. Well I hope this helps; if you have any more questions or can send those photos I'll look forward to seeing them".
